My name is Penny, 39 years old, mother of two sons, Brandon, 17 (who lives with me), a Senior at Raytown High School; and Vance, 19 (who lives with his father in LaCygne, KS), just graduated from Prairie View High School. We have two dogs, Jeddie (Miniature Doberman and Manchester mix), and Lady (Blonde Cocker Spaniel). Brandon and I live in Kansas City, Missouri. I am currently in a long-term relationship with a very special man - the love of my life, Kain. He has a 9 year old daughter, Mariyah.

I work as a Financial Account Manger for Placement Pros in Overland Park, Kansas. I've been there since May 2001 and really enjoy my work. I do a lot of computer work on databases, a lot of customer service, and a little bit of everything else.

I enjoy singing Karaoke and going out with friends. I also spend time at home play games with my son and watching TV and movies. I love going to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS (dirt track racing) with my boyfriend.. He used to race, but now owns a car and we cheer the driver on as he races! We also enjoy go-kart racing and Kain is hoping to get into competition again next year.

Favorites

I happen to be a HUGE movie fan and have a lot of videos at home. Some of my favorite movies are: Seven, Contact, Star Wars & Star Trek (all of them), Saving Private Ryan, The General's Daughter, Time to Kill, Along Came A Spider, Sound of Music, 10 Commandments, and many, many more. I also am a big fan of any Disney movie, but especially The Aristocats, Bambi, Dumbo, and Lady & The Tramp.

I have a very eclectic taste in music. It ranges from Country to Classical; Rock to Jazz; Christian to Adult Contemporary. Some of my favorite musicians are Elton John, Celine Dion, Donny Osmond, Jim Brickman, Travis Tritt, Toby Keith, Barbara Streisand, and Bette Midler. Bands I like include Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Boston, Chicago, REO Speedwagon, and Bon Jovi. I'd have to say that the only music I really don't like is Rap. Nothing against it, just not my style.

I am a writer and musician at heart. I've been writing since I was about 12 years old. I mostly write poetry and lyrics to songs, but have done some stories, editorial writings and other types as well. As you go through the pages of my home, you will see an example of a lot of the different styles of writing I enjoy.

Music-wise, I play the piano, guitar, violin, and bass. I am also vocally trained and my next venture is to record a CD of music I have written and some old-time gospel classics - which is where the heart of my music lies.
